Gayle Harrell’s Pro-life Record

January 22nd, 2008 at 05:25am Anthony Bonna

Since today is the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I wanted to take a few moments to recall one of the reasons I support Gayle so strongly - Gayle’s pro-life record.

For eight years in Tallahassee, Gayle has worked to reduce abortions and defend human dignity.

Gayle:

  •  Co-sponsored legislation for and supported a state constitutional amendment for parental notification.
  • Supported a 24-hour waiting period for abortions.
  • Voted for legislation that would promote and inform women of their right to an ultrasound.
  • Opposed human cloning
  • Helped pass legislation to criminalize the willful killing of an unborn child.

Gayle even earned the Christian Coalition’s Faith and Family Award for a 100% voting record.

In contrast, our current Congressman is part of the problem, earning a 0% rating from the National Right to Life Committee. That includes votes to give federal funding to the nation’s largest abortion provider and to support human cloning.

I believe strongly and pray everyday that this nation will reach a point where we value each and every human life.Gayle’s work in Tallahassee has brought us closer to achieving that goal.
